Methodology
How we compare
Every comparison here follows the same four rules. We publish them so you can hold us to them.
The rules
- Pricing is dated. Every price carries the date we verified it and links to the vendor's own pricing page. Software pricing changes constantly; undated pricing is worthless.
- Every page says when not to switch. Where the incumbent is the better answer for a use case, we say so on the page rather than burying it.
- Trade-offs are listed, not hidden. Each option gets strengths and trade-offs, not a feature checklist that flatters whoever pays the most.
- Affiliate links are disclosed. Where we earn a commission it is marked. It never changes the ordering — verdicts are written before any programme is joined.
What we are not
We are not a review site with star ratings, we do not accept payment for placement, and we do not publish a comparison until the pricing in it has been checked against the vendor's own page. Where we could not verify something, the page says so instead of guessing.
